School Uniform

There is an expectation that children wear the correct school uniform. This is outlined below – required/optional items have been noted in brackets:

 

Reception to Year 6

Autumn/Winter

Royal blue sweatshirt or a cardigan (Barmby Moor School logo optional)

Polo shirt – either pale blue or white (Barmby Moor School logo optional)

Grey or black school trousers (one option required)

Grey or black skirt or pinafore (one option required)

A pair of indoor and a pair of outdoor shoes (required)

Spring/Summer

Polo shirt – either pale blue or white (Barmby Moor School logo optional)

Grey or black school shorts or trousers (one option required)

Blue Gingham checked dress or school polo shirt and grey or black skirt or shorts (one option required)

 

Children in Nursery should wear a red sweatshirt/cardigan and a white polo shirt. Please ensure all uniform is clearly named.

On PE days, children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 attend school wearing their outdoor PE kit; this allows for more PE curriculum time. There is an expectation that all children will have the correct PE kit as is outlined below:

Reception to Year 6

Summer

  • A blue t-shirt (Barmby Moor School logo optional)
  • Plain black shorts (required)
  • A spare pair of socks (optional)
  • A pair of trainers (required)
  • Hair bobbles for long hair (required)

Winter

  • A blue t-shirt (Barmby Moor School logo optional)
  • Plain black jogging bottoms or running tights (one option required)
  • A plain black hoody (required)
  • A suitable outdoor coat for cold and wet weather (required)
  • A spare pair of socks (optional)
  • A pair of trainers (required)
  • Hair bobbles for long hair (required)

All uniform items, apart from the Barmby Moor CE Primary School sweatshirt, can be purchased more widely.

 

Second-hand school uniform is available to both current and prospective families. Parents/carers wishing to obtain second-hand uniform should contact the School Office. Items are also periodically made available through the Friends of Barmby Moor School (FOBMS). Information about how families can access second-hand uniform is published on the school website. Families may approach the school confidentially if they require support with the cost of uniform.

 

During any off-site activity (educational visits, sporting events), parents/carers will receive information, via letter, of the clothing children will require.
