Dear Year Six,

I am very excited to introduce our new topic for the Autumn Term – World War Two! 

Over the summer holiday, it would be wonderful if you could complete a project related to our upcoming theme.

Your project could be a piece of: artwork, writing, film or anything else you would like. You may wish to complete your project on World War Two in general, or you may decide to focus on a particular aspect such as: rationing, weapons or evacuation.

I’ve also attached a black and white photo below. What do you think is happening here and how do you think it links with our new topic?

Remember, it is really important that you keep up with your reading over the summer holidays too! I am intrigued to hear what books you have been reading.

I look forward to seeing and hearing about what you found out when you return to school on Tuesday 8^th September.
