Volunteers at our school bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities of pupils. The Board of Governors, therefore, welcomes and encourages volunteers from the local community. Our volunteers include:

• Members of the Governing Body
• Parents of pupils
• Ex-pupils
• Students on work experience
• University students referred to us by Student Volunteer Services
• Ex-members of staff
• Local residents
• Friends of the school

All volunteers meet with Mrs Chadwick, the Headteacher, for informal face-to-face interviews. References are requested and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks are conducted for all placements.

All volunteers in our school are bound by a code of confidentiality, which will be explained to those volunteering at the start of their period of voluntary work. For further information, please contact the school office.
