Since September 2021, Barmby Moor CE Primary School has used Read, Wrte Inc Phonics in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

RWI phonics is a programme of study which begins in our Nursery. We believe that the children need to engage in early reading which includes listening to wonderful stories, rhymes and poems. We promote good listening and recall skills and encourage our parents to be involved reading to and listening to our children tell their own stories. The children begin to know the importance of listening and that this results in good learning.
